I've been using git since 2009.

But I never really understood it until I was in a large project with an unnecessarily complex git workflow that required me to finally get the whole underlying idea into my head (and actually to write an overengineered Python robot to handle the draggiest parts, but that was probably a bad idea...)

Now I understand it, and I might even consider it Linus Torvald's better idea...

In 2015, I gave a talk on git that seemed to be well-received at the New York Hardware Hack Lab.
