Python For Poets is a course I've always wanted to offer - and now I am teaching it.

I have always claimed that modern languages like Python make it possible and even entertaining to teach not just programming but solid engineering techniques to interested, literate individuals with no previous programming experience.

I've been working with the Bushwick planned community/art space called Silent Barn, which gave me the perfect platform to foist my radical ideas on an unsuspecting public.

Originally planned as six 90-minute lessons, by popular demand it has blossomed to a series of 12 lectures.

The website for the class is here.

All the lectures so far (five, as of this writing) are on YouTube and you can see the first lesson in two parts, here, and here.
