During this time, I became interested in real-time control of lights and lasers - but becoming a licensed laser handler seems to be impossible to achieve.

Benton Bainbridge gave me the idea of controlling a bank of tiny ultra-low power lasers instead. So I wrote a moderate-sized program to this end.

With an interface in Max/MSP but the great bulk of the logic in Javascript, I ran a bank of six to eight nanolasers with this program at the One Step Beyond parties at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, and also at my own music shows.
